Active Life are Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust’s dynamic sport and active recreation providers, managing the Trust’s sports centres and swimming pools.

We are currently looking for temporary staff to support our on-site teams, in the
following categories:
Recreation Assistants
Conference & Catering Assistants
Receptionists
Fitness Instructors
Swimming Instructors
 
Active Life relies upon trained support staff to provide essential cover for permanent
employees when they are absent from work due to sickness/holidays, or to provide
additional cover in periods of increased demand. This booklet should provide you

The duties of the Conference & Catering Assistant include:

• To assist the Conference and Catering Manager in dealing with all conference /
• catering enquiries in accordance with the Trust’s procedures.
• Ensure safe preparation and control of all facilities e.g. Conference rooms,
• Champions Bar & Kiosks.
• To assist with the marketing of the conference facilities and Champions Bar.
• To assist customers and ensure that complaints e.g. accidents, damage and / or
• suggestions are referred to supervision in accordance with procedures.
• To prepare wet and dry catering for Conference facilities and Champions Bar.
• To work front of house in both Champions Bar and Kiosks.
• To give assistance with general labouring duties and to ensure that high
• standards of security, stock and equipment are maintained. 

Requirements:
You must:

• Hold a basic food hygiene certificate.
• Hold a current first aid certificate.
• Have demonstrated experience of dealing with groups, clubs and organisations.
• Have demonstrated experience of dealing with cash and stock.
